Due to regulations set upon us by the Pacific Ocean Series, PFD's (personal floatation devices) must be worn by all competitors on a ski of any kind, SUP's and Paddle Boards are exempt.
However, we as Byron Bay Ocean Paddle race organisers, HIGHLY recommend that they are worn (PFD) by everyone.
We also HIGHLY recommend that leg ropes are worn by all competitors regardless of your craft, and that a communication device, such as your phone, or a whistle or flare, are also on your person, regardless of your craft.

The Byron Bay Ocean Paddle registrations will open at 10.30am Sunday 17th July 2011.
Please note that a $10 Late Fee will be added to the online fee, so please get in early and enter online.
Sups and Paddle Boards will start the race in knee deep water on the north side of the wreck at 1.15pm,
OS and Specs will start at the same location 15 minutes later.
